BMX League "Give-it-a-Try" Open House Event for Beginners

Please us the form below to RSVP for the next Springfield BMX League “Give it a Try” Open House Event.

Come on out to Springfield BMX Raceway, in Riverside Park, on Monday, August 15, from 6:00PM-7:30PM, for a free “give-it-a-try” open house, especially for beginning riders and their families.

During the 90-minute event, your rider will get some basic instruction on BMX Racing and ride the track, under the supervision of our League instructor and volunteers. Parents will learn about how the League is structured, and have a no-pressure opportunity to sign up.

The Summer 2022 season starts Monday evening, August 22, and runs five sessions (August 22, 29, SKIP September 5 (for Labor Day), then back on September 12, 19, 26), from 6:00PM to 8:30PM.

The Open House is a perfect opportunity to learn about the sport, and get in on an activity that is all-about fun, fitness and family.

Open to boys and girls 4-15 years, and moms, dads and grandparents of riders.
A “Beginner” is someone who has never raced BMX outside of the League program.

Here’s a rundown of how the event will be structured:

For Riders
– A “roll-around” on our dirt track, supervised by our league instructor and on-track volunteers, with tons of hands-on fun on their bike.

For Parents
– A “walk-around” of the facility and the various “stations” at the BMX track. Then a briefing on how the League format works, while the kids continue the fun on the track.

For the Whole Family
-A welcome message from the Springfield BMX League staff.
-Firsthand stories from BMX families on what the sport of BMX Racing has done for them.
-Group and personal Q&A time to answer all your questions.

What to Bring/What to Wear for Riders
